Hello everyone,
I was a big fan of forum CYOA threads as a kid, so I thought we could wing one here. This will be a group effort, with each person getting a vote towards that sessions activities. Every week the settlement will be allowed two actions, one on tues and one on Friday, with voting in between. Communities will be based off of:

Resource points- These will be things like generators, solar panels, etc that the community has scavenged and repaired.
Population- The population of the settlement, when this hits zero it is game over :P
Technology- The technology level for each faction means different things, but it generally has to do with weaponry and medical tech.
Food- Also means different things (potentially gross for Stitchmen) but the population will require its number in food every month (a week in real life).

First thing is to choose is a faction:

In the beginning I will try to keep choices ambiguous until we appear to have a theme of Stakers who worship Chronos God of Death or a stylish band of Drifters named the Mad Hatters. The world is your oyster.

I have set up random modifiers that involve success or defeat, and will come up with details for each one. In the spirit of the d6 the results will be as follows 1: tragic 2: unsuccessful 3-4: wash 5: successful and 6: boon.

Remember to include a name for the settlement with your vote and we can have a little vote for that later as well. The faction beginning totals are as follows:

A- Drifters start with 300 population, 500 food 200 technology and 1 resource point
B- Reclaimers start with 125 population 250 food, 500 technology and 3 resource points
C- Stakers 200 population, 600 food, 200 technology and 2 resource points
D- Stitchmen 75 population, 150 food, 400 technology and 4 resource points

Friday when the voting is over we can discuss our war plans. Every week after that we will adventure paths that end on will hopefully take us all over the place and feature some locations that are written for the book. Keep in mind this will be more role-play heavy and not a true indicator of the game itself.

The chaos factor- if I feel like the CYOA is spinning it's wheels then I might throw in rivals, a plague, etc to get the party started. Ok let's have some fun!
