I wish I had taken part in the Kickstarter that allowed you to pledge to have your town incorporated into the Wreck Age setting, but since I missed that opportunity I was hoping to get some information on the status of the west coast of the United States during Year Zero, but specifically the Southern California, Los Angeles/San Diego area.

I have read in other threads on this forum that coastal areas are largely flooded and cities in those areas abandoned, but how far inland was the coastal encroachment? Has anything been written about Los Angeles and it's surrounding communities?

The "wilds" around Los Angeles already look rather post-apocalyptic, as anyone who has taken a drive from LA to Las Vegas can attest to, so I'd love to delve into that area of the setting but wondered if anything had been fleshed out yet or if it was a blank canvas waiting to be developed.

There are a lot of high value targets in the area that would likely have been attacked/destroyed/fortified during the years of chaos and violence around the time of the Exodus. Camp Pendleton is one example. Edwards Airforce base is another. Cal Tech, and the Jet Propulsion Laboratories might also have been fought over, or become points of interest for groups like the Reclaimers or even Stitchers. Seems like there could be some fun story potential in the rotted out carcass of Southern California.

Thanks in advance!

LA is all pretty much under water, with some of the mountains in the area becoming islands. We don't have much mention of it yet, but eventually, we'll probably do something for the LA, Seattle, Florida islands, as well as the flooded areas of Philly, DC, NYC, and the Houston swamps.

A lot of this is still un-defined, and if you wanted to have some input into it, we certainly wouldn't be opposed, you can write me at anton at wreck-age dot net if you have any ideas...

You can see a bit in terms of how far inland the flooding goes if you check out kickstarter and look at the map we posted.

Thanks for the rundown on the coastal areas. I will definitely put some ideas down in an e-mail and send them your way.

Thanks again!
