Wasnt sure where to put this so I figured future history was relavant to the books. So far read: Bones, 1Horse and Tides.
All were great and helped me get into the feel of the 'verse of W-A.
Hahn's gave me a quick look at things we might see and how action might look n feel in the scope of W-A.
Anton's was a nice narrative of the feelings of the locals and of their brief historical timeline.
Matt's was all over giving me hints about what I know and don't know about the factions and a down and dirty arc of brutality from the brute.
Have the other 3 left for tonite.
Hoping to get more ideas for something I'd like to throw together for my Stitchers :woohoo:
and for a Staker scenario using the mobile garden idea talked about in BedPlanter thread.

If you didn't read my post in play testing, read Deception's Edge. It'll give you some solid conceptual info on how Stitcher crew's operate.

Finished up Apple and Faces...More great stuff.
Was thinking during Apple about a different story that this could relate to and Bam, caught off guard and it ended up being that. Nice to see creativity like that.
I can totally see a bitchin set of scenarios off of Rex's last quote

Then Faces-I wasn't sure where it was going but it was good all the way to the end.

Now to Newmark.

From a fan's eye view, which short should I read next? What was your favorite? I've only read Deception's Edge thus far.

Being someone who is too lazy to read nowadays I can't really say I have a favorite because they're all really good and show different aspects. For grit n action, id choose apple and one horse. My only complaint is 1 horse isnt long enuf. :)
But definitely theyre all worth the free/50 cents.

Newmark. This was Another good story. I like the way he went with descriptions about Stits. It gave me a different perspective because I was thinking them all being the same and in his eyes there's actually subclasses of stitchers.
By combining the info in apple , newmark and the brief from the main faction you see a bigger picture of this part of W-A society. I hope my little story blends in well with all the stories so far.

If these posts come off badly its cuz I'm trying to do this on my iPhone.

Do you think mine was too 'brutal' and 'dark'? I have a more standard story on the docket, I just wanted to give a villain a little breathing room before we turn into a fantasy setting ha ha. Not that the other stories aren't great!

Matt
I liked yours a lot because of all the things you touched on to. Yours was stronger in content while the other few short ones were just action. I'm def looking forward to reading more of yours and you're not nearly as dark as you think you are....go darker!

haha :)

I have read them all, and they are all worth the read, unique in their own way. I would like to see a couple of the characters in the stories turned into miniatures. I may do that at some point.
There is great material in all of the books, and there is no limit to where each story could follow up or go to.

Have any of you viewed the firefly series, or the movie Serenity? If not, they mention in it "Earth that was" and I can't help making a connection to this Wreck-Age being that. Just a weird thing.

I totally want to read more stories. So writers, make that happen and I will be there reading them! Looking forward to reading the (Darth Matt's) follow up!

The Euclid follow up is a very messy 15 pages that will be 30 before it is done. Based in Switch City and will have some companion scenarios. It's been fun to write but definitely a back burner project.

And you are the Darth, Neil.

Lol, Darth .. lol..
Just remembered: I have and I-Phone4 with the updated O.S. and I put all 6 of the stories on there, easy, no glitches, and they are handy having them on there, to re-read over and again, when you are waiting in line and doing things that are consuming your time on your day to day. Just so those of you who may read this and be all like can I put these on my phone... Yes you can!
