Hey kids!
I stalked you guys for a while, and then made you demo me some stuff at Adepticon. Turns out, my old pal Manny is in league with you, as well. I'm here to make trouble.
I ended up picking up the rulebook, the stakers, the two adepticon drifters with no shirts on, and a capybara herder, because that shit's just too funny for me to pass up. I also picked up the drifter box, which should be in the mail to me nowish.
Then, I lucked out and found some more models at the swap tables. Picked up some more drifters/explodaboars, and also grabbed some stitchers for my friend. So, all told, I'm ready to rock!

I have been thumbing the rules/background, and I guess my first question is this: what is a "normal" RU limit that people tend to play to? I know it can roll as an RPG, but I'm interested in it mainly as a campaign table top game.

Second question is really just confirmation. When I make a crew, I essentially am making a handful of mini RPG characters, with their own stats and skills and weapons that make them different than just "3 braves with pistols". This is correct, right?

Lastly, where dem quickstart rules at? I could use those.

Drifters are in the mail to you.

An "average" game is around 100 RUs, although up to 300 can be played fairly quickly (2-3 hours generally, once you get a feel for things).

The intent to have you make a crew is to give each Character flavor, so you have the general idea. You can get very in depth with them if you want (writing back stories, and such), or just keep it very simple. Having "3 braves with pistols" works too, if that's the sort of game you want.

The quickstart rules are in the process of being updated. I'm hoping to have them up this week. It's part of the push to get all the stuff for "Showdown" done.
