TOPIC: Hello From London Ontario

Hello From London Ontario 3 years 2 months ago #2083

Hello,

My names Dave and I'm from London Ontario. I've been gaming both table top and RPG for around 20 years. I started in Warhammer 40k 2nd edition and still play now. I also play Warhammer fantasy, Epic 40k, Mordheim, Gorka Morka, Necromunda, Dystopian wars and Warmachine. For RPGs I mostly play D&D but I've played D20 Modern and tried a few others as well.

For other hobbies I have way too many, from swimming, running and long distance obstacle courses to computer and console gaming and blacksmithing.

I only heard about this game recently, around Christmas, but it immediately caught my attention. I bought the PDF last week and I'm really impressed over all. The uniqueness of the setting along with the melding of table top and RPG both really get me interested in playing. I've been lurking on the forums for about two weeks now and I felt it was time to join. I'm planning on starting a campaign soon, likely heavy on the role playing side, and I will try and post a regular update on how thats going. When playing the DM/Narator role, I am really big on adapting the rules to suit my players and the situation.

I look forward to many great conversations and getting to know the community.

Hi Nasa, thanks for the welcome! hmmm favorite faction, if I have to pick one I think I would go with Unicephalon. I love the cloak and dagger rangers working in the shadows for what they see as the common good. I also really like the Reclaimers and the Stakers though.

Hi Dave!

Welcome to the forums, and please do post how your campaign is going once it gets off the ground. I'd love to see the direction that you're taking it in.

I had 15 painted epic armies at one point, but gave almost all of them up to start working on this beast of a project. I do have a few choice goodies saved to paint up though, probably a chaos IG army (complete with Gorgon transports and FW warhounds).

I am really looking forward to being able to show some of the Unicephalon stuff that's in the bag already. I think you'll like it!

Welcome aboard Raven, glad to have you!

I'm also a big fan of Necromunda and Mordheim, as I love campaign linked skirmish games (part of what makes Wreck-Age my new go to skirmish ruleset!).
